A little visitor today.

A fawn, spots just gone,

Not one year old.

Come into the yard,

Scampered away and back again,

Maybe for two hours or so.

Ate grass.

Nibbled on the grape vine.

Nibbled on the hop vines.

Nibbled on the apple and pear trees.

I will have to wrap them all for the winter.

Or else the critter will eat them all up.

Nice to see the fawn, though.

A little doe.

Let’s call her Robertina.
