Stand Up, Girl.
21 october 2018
jp melville

Fuck me she said
Up against the wall
She screamed
I’m wet
I want you from behind
So she turned and I did
And we married soon thereafter
And she fucked me from behind
She did.

“You know…”, as they say in drawl and slang
Which means you don’t know, but you’re listening
“What I meant to say was…”, but it is too late now
And the damage done.

Fuck me from upside down
And I come and you scream
But I don’t forget what you said was
Was not what you said in rewriting history.

If you want equality
What you said is what you said was
And the bruise on your child’s face was
The blood from my nose was
The smashed guitar glasses porcelain figurine was
What you did not what you said was
That is the responsibility.

For after all
We own up equally
When you beg
Demand for
Fuck for
And take
(Not away from me).

Stand up, girl.
Own it.
After all its our shared highway.
Equality.
