Mulberry Nipples
January 2019
jp melville

I lost my mulberry nipple love
Because of cold in temperature and cold of heart
Where I sleep, this cold vestibule-come-porch
I like all my blankets
Knowing that fossil fuels have pointlessly tenderized our souls
High and mighty horse I ride upon
Vanity
I think of Afat who was cold while we made love
Just another blanket and a gentle twist on the thermostat
Would have kept her mulberry nipples mine.
