Hunger.

Wound.

Sorrow.

Kiss.

Joy.

Anger.

Urge.

Pain.

Tears.

Lips.

Lust.

Simplicity.

For each of these and more description lies beyond infinity,

Yet, still, I reach an outstretched hand,

A fingertip,

To touch, to wonder, to smile, to cry,

To embrace these all,

Then turn and weep resisting grace,

In chest heaving stillness

Deny my God’s compassion.
