Before I’m finished I’m wishing for an eulogy Wondering what it means to bring life to end. Like closing of a love story No happy ending here Broken hearts, sadnesses, lost connections, emptinesses. Is it time to sleep, rest Empty mind and heart No space left to fill again. On cliff top where I stand With face turned to the wind Autumn speaks to me here I look out the sky begins to overcast The yellows, reds, browns of forest leaves Shivering their end to a season.
